Welcome to our new website – the new home of the West Yorkshire Housing Partnership.
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of this platform as a focal point for social housing related ambition and collaboration across our region. Here, you can discover the latest news, insights and case studies that show how we’re working together to tackle the shortage of affordable homes in West Yorkshire.
Whether you’re a housing professional, policymaker, or a resident, our new website is designed to keep you informed on the progress we’re making to deliver the homes people desperately need.
Today’s launch coincides with the appointment of our new chair, Rachael Dennis, as well as the launch of our 2023/24 annual report.
During this period, we delivered 1,436 homes with over 1,800 more projected for 2024/25. And in total, our partnership members own and manage more than 167,000 homes across West Yorkshire.
This is in direct response to the housing crisis which has left around 85,000 West Yorkshire households on waiting lists for housing. We’re committed to meeting this demand by working together with our partners including the Mayor of West Yorkshire, West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Homes England to deliver on our five key priorities.
These priorities include building affordable homes; driving quality and regeneration, tackling the climate emergency; creating inclusive communities; and connecting housing, health and homelessness.
We invite you to explore our new home and join us as we work towards a brighter future for housing in West Yorkshire.
