Together, our partnership members own and manage around 167,000 homes across West Yorkshire – and we’re committed to investing in these homes to ensure they’re safe, healthy and affordable.

Our shared vision and passion also helps us collaborate on how standards are raised not just for social rented homes, but also across the private rented sector.

Our plan

To do this, we’re carrying out retrofit programmes to upgrade our existing homes and accelerate the transition from oil and gas heating systems to low-carbon alternatives, such as air source heat pumps and solar panels.

We’re also installing smart technologies so we can better monitor and optimise energy efficiency to help cut carbon emissions and energy use for our customers. This is a key part of our priority to tackle the climate emergency.

As not-for-profit organisations, we invest everything we make into ensuring our homes are safe, healthy and affordable. In 2022/23, our members spent around £411 million on repairs and maintenance, with a further £340 million on planned investments.

To us, having a good quality home is also about the neighbourhood you live in, including outdoor spaces and streets. That’s why we bring a placemaking approach to support both good quality homes and neighbourhoods.
